Tamarama beach kiosk
This series of photographs records the Tamarama beach kiosk during early Autumn of 2013 before its eventual demolition and redevelopment by Waverley Council. The Tamarama beach kiosk was rustic, managed by the same manager and served the community in its current state since the 70's. It was cherished by locals and visitors alike for its unpretentious grassroots cool vibes and unparallel views of the sand and sea.

Magnificent monoliths, Central Australia
Visiting Uluru, Kata Tjuta and Attila in Central Australia is a surreal life changing experience. The landscape is the traditional land of the Anangu people. It is an ancient land that whispers stories into your subconscious. The native indigenous people have preserved these stories for tens of millennia and continue to pass them onto future generations. These photographs record some of my impressions of this timeless, dramatic landscape.
Nirvana Surfboard Factory, manufacturing process, Kincumber NSW
These photographs record a journey of surfboard making with Bill Cilia and his crew at Nirvana. The photographer, Gregor Murton started surfing from age 13 after buying a secondhand board off the racks at the Nirvana factory, and later surfed on his first custom board made by renowned shaper Bill Cilia. A few years later while Gregor was studying commercial photography he returned to Nirvana to photograph the surfboard manufacturing process. He used a basic manual camera loaded with medium speed black and white film and photographed hand held under 'ambient' available light. This ensured a natural, spontaneous and unstaged feel to the photographs - a visual record capturing the creativity, energy and craftsmanship of surfboard making at the Nirvana factory.
